French publication Le Monde recently released a piece on breadfruit called “Hawaii reconquering the breadfruit and its nourishing fruit.” You can read the English translation here.
TTFF co-founder Mike McLaughlin was interviewed for the story, which reports that TTFF has now donated 175,000 breadfruit trees in Jamaica, Haiti, the Bahamas, Barbados, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Belize, Kenya, and Uganda.
TTFF friends and collaborators from The Breadfruit Institute of the National Tropical Botanical Garden were quoted, as well.
With every bit of press, breadfruit becomes more valued around the world. As demand heightens, more trees are planted, and more agribusiness owners succeed. Merci, Le Monde!
