Growing Knowledge to Grow Impact: Breadfruit Masterclasses

At Trees That Feed Foundation (TTFF), planting trees is only part of the solution. Education is equally essential. That’s why we host Breadfruit Masterclasses. They are practical, experience-driven conversations that help growers, entrepreneurs, and advocates turn breadfruit’s promise into lasting impact.

Each masterclass features people actively working with breadfruit across the value chain, openly sharing lessons learned, challenges faced, and insights gained. This knowledge exchange strengthens local livelihoods, reduces costly missteps, and supports the long-term success of breadfruit as a climate-smart, food-secure crop.

Additional Learning

Some questions couldn’t be addressed live during this week’s Breadfruit Masterclass with Marisol Villalobos because we ran out of time. We’ve compiled written responses to extend the learning beyond the Zoom room:

Responses to Unanswered Questions from Attendees

These masterclasses reflect TTFF’s belief that knowledge sharing is foundational to sustainable change. When people have access to real-world experience (not just theory) they are better equipped to feed communities, create jobs, and steward the environment.

Stay tuned for future Breadfruit Masterclasses and educational resources as we continue building a global, collaborative breadfruit movement.

Thank you to all of you who (in supporting TTFF) are helping to launch entrepreneurs in many countries into successful breadfruit-based businesses.
